this is old info. and HQ never have beleived cpq's program on dealer inventory. I would think that after years of HQ saying Cpq has higher inventory in channel than cpq officially states that HQ would relieve with all the profit cpq makes and the margins and even with the profits that the dealers are making...you would think they would fnally admit they don't know what they are talking about. I wrtoe the dealer inventory program. it's not wrong and it tracks inventory by region. Besides since cpq reserves off invnetory then officailly all the reserves are not the dealers. they are cpq's and are not booked sales.
