To Sowbug: In fairness to William Wang, I will provide a portion of the first release taken from the Dow Jones Newswire on Jan. 14th. I believe he was just basically repeating one of the rumors that hit the newswire that day. The newswire stated: Wall Street traders said rumors are swirling throughout the investment community that Cabletron will be taken over by Lucent Technologies Inc. (LU). The traders said Cabletron could fetch a price of $28 to $30 a share. Lucent executives declined to comment on the rumors. I hope this might be of help to you. Regards, John Bryan

Hei Sowbug: Just stumbled upon this thread for the first time (got into CS recently). Never checked your profile while exchanging on the YHOO thread. Did now. Vox Clamantis In Deserto :-) Am thinking of loading up on some more CS. Got to do some homework first, but all the comments from the various networks administrators and technitians that I know are encouraging. Any thoughts? (I am going to browse this thread at some more Godly hour) Cheers! BTW Now I see why the anti-MSFT bias (just kidding) Still using Macs or did you succumb?
