Wilson Announces Letter of Intent With Bingo and Gaming
International Regarding Acquisition of Bingo Centers in Mississippi

AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Contrary to a previous report, Greg Wilson
remains President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the American Bingo and Gaming
Corp. (Nasdaq: BNGO - news). Courtland L. Logue, Jr. continues as Chairman of the
Board. A press release issued January 16, 1998 stating that Wilson resigned is incorrect. We
regret the error.

In other company news, Mr. Wilson announced today that American Bingo and Gaming
Corp. has entered into a letter of intent with Bingo and Gaming International regarding the
acquisition of three bingo centers in the state of Mississippi, pending due diligence and drafting
of final contracts.

Mr. Wilson is the founder of the Company and under his leadership American Bingo has
grown from one bingo center in 1987 to a successful public company that today produces
well over $10 million in annual revenues.

American Bingo is the market leader in the North American charitable bingo market. The
Company derives revenues from its bingo centers in Texas, Alabama and South Carolina, and
