Jeff: It's odd that the CCI Variable scan gets the same result as the older CCI scan we used, which did start by dividing high, low and close by 3.

You remember this:

B :=(high(0)+low(0)+close(0))/3 ;
C :=(high(-1)+low(-1)+close(-1))/3 ;
D :=(high(-2)+low(-2)+close(-2))/3 ;
E :=(high(-3)+low(-3)+close(-3))/3 ;

I've adapted that scan for CCI(13), and Ieft in what's above. Now the new scan divides B by periods and gets the same results. And if I change B to 3 in the new one, the results don't resemble CCI numbers. So something strange is going on here, something within the variable CCI scan. I can't even remember when and why I changed 3 to periods in the scan, but it made sense at the time. It's downright odd that B could be so different in two similar QP scans, and yet both get the same results.

O frabjous Brooke - You DO kill me. What a sense of humor! HELP! I need to find a way to automate scans on R1, as I have roughly a kazillion of them. I have written a batch file to put their output into one duplicates-deleted mega-list. But HOW to automate them. Seems like I read about 11,864 posts back that this could be done, but wonder if you or any of the Cognoscienti around here could save me 6 hours and just tell me. Could ya? Please?

Regards,

-Al
