Janice, I know you appreciate good writing, as does nearly everyone on DAR. I thought it would be fun if we told who are favorite writers are and why. I'll start...

Now don't laugh...

My altime favorite writer, way above all other I have read is "Isaac Asimov". That guy could write anything! Fiction, Nonfiction, Science books, children's books. Anything.

The main thing that struck me about his writing is it was effortless to read him. Almost like he didn't have a style or something. It's really hard for me to put my finger on it. The only way I can describe reading him is "effortless".

It has been said that he wrote with very little rewriting too.

The man was a true genios. Anyone who has never read the foundations series has missed a major piece of litterary work IMHO.

Ok, Janice now you. :-)
