Richard: I have never read much on Level 2, nor do I know of any books detailing the ins and outs of using Level 2 for trading. The thread From The Trading Desk and SOES Trading will give you a good primer. Also check out Elite Trader which offers online courses on using Level 2. I think really one needs to get exposure to Level 2 itself to really learn what it's all about. Consider subscribing to a Level 2 Quote service.
