I'm unable to disappear the past. I'm generally pleased with the party that they've been over the course of my lifetime.

You are a proud and loyal Democrat. Always have been. Your father and his father were also Democrats. You can trace your family history and loyalty to the Democrat party all the way back to when the KKK was founded.
You exaggerate, but I'm willing to bet that Wharfie comes from a family of FDR Democrats.

Which, coincidentally, is exactly the kind of Democrat you are describing.
