I will agree that diamond exploration is a long and tedious process. One must look at the investment over the long term. However, companies in the NWT such as Diamet, Aber and Mountain Province have all reported initial discovery holes which were quite remarkable. Some of these dicoveries are averaging 3 to 4 carats/ton, which is extremely high by world standard. The diamonds are also considered to be of good quality. These companies also appear to be progressing to production and all appear undervalued. MPV reminds me of an Aber clone after reporting 4 diamond bearing kimberlites, excellent recovery of larger stones along with a 1.56 carat diamond recovered from an exploration hole (2" core) into one of the pipes. The point I am trying to make is this. Why should I buy an exploration stock trading at $5.55/share with poor results from a mini-bulk sample. On the other hand, why would I not buy a stock trading at $4.40/share with excellent mini-bulk samples from one pipe and excellent exploration results from 3 other pipes in the same area. Some of the exploration results out of the NWT (2" core) have been better than complete mini-bulk sample results out of Alberta. I am not trying to fault the Alberta diamond play as I respect any companies ability to pioneer discoveries in a previously unexplored area. However, I do disagree with the current share price level when related to released results. It just doesn't make sense. Always looking for value ---- Paul!
