"I think we're already seeing catastrophic impacts"

That much is obvious. But they're nothing compared to what's coming.

Among SI climate-aware posters, you'll find one that has posted about the divergence between existing and scientifically-cautious projections vs. what's really happening.

Similarly, you'll find one that has posted on half-century old work by Schrodinger, Georgescu-Roegen, Herman Daly and others, dealing not only with causation at the most basic and scientific level — but with consequential economics.

Why don't people understand and discuss these issues? Because they prefer Climate Disaster Porn, which is easy. Giddy sensationalism without true understanding. Fine. That's what people like -- another reason why the eventual outcome is inescapable: human nature.

Learning isn't that hard. If you understand what's at work, new climate events cause no surprise. No need for signposts when you already know where you are, and where you're going.

Every year since 2012, predictions about climate and psychosocial global change have been realized—without fail.
