Please see my post to Zeev, #1182 below. No one in Korea is "donating" the family jewels to bail out the country. Far from it. What they get in return is a dollar based savings account. Something they want anyway. Dollars. This is a case of someone smart enough to recognize a way to beef up the bank's dollar reserves while fullfilling a market need/want. I think it is quite brilliant.
