The market rarely applies face value to share price. Expectation is built into the price. The fact that ACA has hit kim on every hole they have drilled and the fact that most? of these pipes have contained diamonds gives the market some expectation. Ashton seems to be finding these pipes with no apparent dificulty and they are big. The market likes the success they have seen so far. Obviously many companies are thinking this way. Staking continues in Alberta for the scraps of properties that are left. From what I can tell this same excitement does not exist at these levels in the NWT with companies spending lots of time and money with very little to show for it season after season.
I am by no means any kind of expert on diamond plays but I have followed a few of the NWT companies. I was surprised by the lack of market interest in MPV but there has definitely got to be a reason.
Perception is 99% of the market. Many companies have struck out in the NWT, year after year. At the same time this Alberta play has given such possitive success very early on in exploration.
Got to be a reason why so many companies are grabing what they can in Alberta rather than going to the NWT to offer some JV's.
Maybe people think that the NWT is the moon with air.
