Looks like I have to correct the record publicly, because you have the power to malign me on your thread, without my ability to respond. So this will be my last post to you. Here's what got me banned from your thread.
1) rxbond and I were having a conversation about economics. I wanted to talk about the deficit and how that is not good for this country, which we all know Trump is running up a big deficit. I agree with many of Trump's policy positions, but not his tolerance for large deficits.
2) You showed your displeasure in a post to me ( siliconinvestor.com ) :
I don't want you to misunderstand the point of why I discussed this with you here. I have only one thing I'm concerned about and that is how the economy will reflect on the presidency of Donald Trump. I know that no matter what, if the enemy succeeds in sending us into economic chaos or recession, it will damage him. I have no intentions of discussing market gurus or investing in general here.
3) Seeing this and knowing that you don't like anything that is negative about Trump on your thread, I redirected my responses to rxbond back to my on "Inflation and what to do about it" thread, so as to avoid triggering you, and frankly, out of respect for you.
4) You got mad and posted this ( siliconinvestor.com ) :
Mindmeld… One of my biggest problems as Emcee here is making myself clear when I talk about this thread. Eventually, readers and friends become acquainted with my foibles and seem to understand what I am trying to say. Yesterday, I did NOT intend to say that we should not discuss the economy. Just the opposite! But only in general as it would possibly affect the Trump administration (and consequently all of us). My point was that I would not be discussing various gurus in depth, that would derail the nice flow of information and opinions that we have here. 5) rxbond continued to post to me about the economy and I continued to talk about some things that might be seen as controversial to you and you had explicitly told me not to say things that would "possibly affect the Trump administration". So I redirected my response to him again back to my own thread, so I would not violate your rules.

Sigh. You can't have it both ways, HB. It seems to me that you want me to post nothing but good things here about Trump. I agree with this thread on most things, but I do not agree on massive deficit spending that Trump is enabling. So when I say those things, everyone here, including you, gets upset. When I try to take those kinds of things off thread to avoid that, you get upset and threaten to ban me. You have me thoroughly confused. I have tried to follow your rules, but I don't like being threatened with banning when I have tried my best to toe the line here and be cordial to everyone. This is starting to make me feel EXACTLY like how I feel when the folks on the left do all their political correctness and censorship crap. It seems that you don't want me to speak my mind unless I conform, but I'm finding conformity on this thread perplexing. I really don't like that. So do what you have to do. I am sorry for it, but this is absurd. What the heck has happened in this country that we can't be free to talk? I simply don't recognize this place anymore. How did we get to this point?

You and some of the others, like GoldNGuns are way too paranoid. Rescued from what? I have opinions and those opinions are not 100% in favor of Trump. I said it up front, I don't get on board with cults of personalities, even though I do like Trump and have voted for him. 100% ideological allegiance leads to biased thinking. For example, I don't like deficits and was having conversations about that in other threads. I tried to take those negative things off your thread, which is why I redirected 2 posts from rxbond, because I knew you and others would not like my opinion on it. I have to say I'm shocked that you find that so threatening. You have a vibrant thread. My thread is pissant compared to yours and would never really be any kind of competition. Mostly, we talk about inflation, the economy, and macro monetary issues. It's too esoteric to be that popular. I used it in this case to take those potentially controversial topics off your thread, which I thought you had asked me to do. Anyway, HB, the truth is, I thought we had connected and I thought you and your thread was interesting. But evidently, you suffer from the same disease that is ailing the left. You all prefer to live in echo chambers that bounce back your own opinions. That is shockingly un-American. Civil and Open discourse must find its way back into this country or we are all doomed. Good luck with everything. I enjoyed your thread and the discussions we've had and I'm sorry you have decided to end it. But life is short. I get how you want to smooth out the bumps.
