Paul A: ALL FORE INVESTORS READ THIS!!!

You didn't get anything out of her but nice try nevertheless!! Guess what? I saw something interesting in today's (1/19) WSJ pg A5 - A Full Page Ad from FORE SYSTEMS!!! All of you should check this out!

Now here are some of my observations and things to ponder about-
1. Why do this on a holiday for the financial markets, a lot of people may have missed it completely?
2. What kind of a signal is the company sending (if any) to the investors and the investment community? Could it be possible that they will handily beat the estimates and report a record quarter for the top-line (which I think is pretty much certain, see my earlier post) and this is just to get people's attention and two days later when they report earnings, people will recollect the Ad in WSJ and start taking interest in FORE?
3. If they were missing the numbers, would it be wise for company to put out a full page Ad in the WSJ just two days before the earnings report? I doubt it. Unless this was scheduled long time ago and Fore had no control over the timing of the Ad being printed! Does anyone know how much advance notice does one have to give to WSJ to get a full page Ad out and does one have a choice as far as precise timing of the Ad is concerned?

It seems FORE's PR has started doing some good work- first, a renewed website (see my earlier post) and now this Ad in WSJ (which really surprised me because I get several magazines on technology and only rarely I see Ad from Fore but I guess the audience is different- IS Managers are familiar with the company and their products but the street has to rediscover FORE!)

All I would say: Looking Good!!
