People died when the Brits took it from the Ottopeople. People died when they took it from somebody else, who took it from somebody else. It's a region with a long history of fighting and taking. Then the Brits gave it to the Jews, and more people died. One of them was a relative, who is buried at West Point. He got Israel off to a pretty good start before he was killed.
