the loss of the drill appears to be a bad - poorly executed IR move. They could have a) cold feet that they weren't going to hit or b)they are acquiring more property and a good hole would have driven up the cost of the proeprties that they were / are looking at. What impreses or intrigues me is that they have taken away from AMOCO and PCP some very smart people. These guys/girls didn't come in blind. They had a look at the data or know what RAN is after. All of them took pay cuts to join and got options. Since the options aren't in the money right now - it's not likely that they are cashing out as we speak. This is what makes me feel/hope that there is a master plan going on here that while frustrating today - will be rewarding downstream. RAN is probably in a void now till Apr 98 - but it appears that they are acquiring more land and opportunities. They are aggressive much like Stampeder was when it started out.

Eagle - my sentiments exactly. I dumped my entire position when I seen that news. Then they give themselves more options! I still can't believe the newsletter writers that still support them. Even if these writers don't get "paid off", I still think they get to close to these company officials to be objective. I call it the shmooze factor.

Cheers, Bob
