They became wealthy because we enabled them to buy into capitalism and fed their industrialization and because we allowed them to skirt all the normal rules, which they then abused through their wholesale theft of western IP. That era is coming to a close. Right now, China is sitting on 300-400% debt to GDP and their Communist Party is not embedded in the Boards of most of their top companies, forcing them to do their bidding. The free wheeling capitalist days are getting replaced by far more control from the top. That will do to China what economic dictatorship always does, it will create a crash. I don't know when, but the outcome is relatively certain, if history is anything to go by. Having said all that, I think Russia is our enemy, but China is the bigger enemy. Putin is a well known commodity. We can continue to keep him in check, as long as we have good leadership. China is a different beast entirely. They fight in incredibly innovative and dirty ways, while successfully making us look like the bad guys and thugs. In the mean time, they are spreading their idea of cultural marxism and total social control to every shore. Their war against us is ideological, economic, and cultural. We're not fighting any of those spaces successfully. On the contrary, our country is turning Socialist and embracing cultural marxism. The left is the best friend Putin or Xi could ever have. They blame Trump for Russia Collusion, but no one is doing more damage to Democracy, Capitalism, and Western Values than the left in this particular moment in history.
