Bob, Use of the ABS was not the issue (here at least), it was the denominator for calculating a day's Typical Price (turned out to be an over exuberant global replace). I assume you're correct in that the MetaStocks CCI-Std indicator is per the A-to-Z book -- as defined by Donald Lambert. The CCI-Equis indicator does not appear to be all that different although it is obviously not the same. BTW: Steve Achelis, the creator of MetaStock, is also the author of the "TA A-to-Z" book. Agree with your assessment of QP's lack of arrays, in my mind ranks right up there with lack of function calls * BUT, remenber its a data source not a programming environmnet * I'm really hoping DLL improvements in ver 2.1 with further enhance my other means (C++) of providing satisfying those needs....wish list: 1) function calls with param passing, 2) scans ref external user provided functions, 3) external functions ref QP indicators, 4) command line parameter passing, 5) pre/post-amble processing ......(many others not germane here)
