Because....those people came into the United States illegally. What is so hard to understand about that? Do the right thing. We are a land of laws though lately it's two laws. Without a rule of law what is it called? I'm going to ask you something seriously. If our country was not the country you hoped it would be and there was wide spread violence would you try to find another country to go to to escape what is happening or would you try to fight the wrong. The problem with those who are trying to come here are afraid to fight for their country IMO and I get that they feel helpless and afraid but to come here and live in the shadows and not be part of a civil society. What if the same thing happened here? Then where would they run. It's not all about escaping violence those people want to better themselves and who wouldn't but we do have laws and it would be so much simpler if our Government would just do the right thing instead of having an open border. I'm not going to run!
