Really what is needed is positive company releases to the wire services. News the world reads in addition to the Colo businesses.

Anyone have contact numbers for Rocky Mountain Times? The idea in getting the Denver Post to do a story is that is that they might send it out for syndication, given all the Y2K stuff in the press. That happening could be worth a ton of company-generated press releases. About 90% of the newspaper space goes to about 10% of the public companies. Most press releases are ignored by editors as they are deluged by them. So if a reporter comes back with a strong story, it worth gold to a small company. Otherwise, editors go with stories about Intel, Microsoft, etc., since they know there is a wide audience for those stories. 1998 is Topro's big year. Lets give Colorado papers first crack at breaking the story. Further suggestions are welcome. (drobnik@peak.org)
