I don't like the fact that you guys think of people who aren't anti-Microsoft as "brainwashed" and closed-minded (Harvey, this is sparked by your recent post to me).

It could easily be argued that all of the ignorant "ilksters" are the ones who are brainwashed....

I know I am not brainwashed, because if I were I'd be a a mindless "ilkster" like some others here. I hear anti-Microsoft rhetoric everywhere I go--in school, in the media, this thread, etc., etc. Not being anti-Microsoft is being in the minority.

Personally, I think I've been pretty fair in assessing the situations and have a good perspective. I agree with Microsoft's actions at times, and at other times, disagree (the NDS thing being the most recent).

PS. I also want to say that I really enjoy reading the thoughtful posts from Justin and Charles. I usually enjoy Dan's as well, but they're more on the entertaining side at this point :)

RE: "Was the government correct in breaking up AT&T? Standard Oil?"

Great question.

The answer is.....If prices dropped and service and product quality went up as a direct result of these actions then the answer is yes. Otherwise the answer is no.
