Thanks for that detail, Sam. And the material you provide from the Times article is fascinating.

I'm less interested in those details than in proposals which put the issue of monopoly like behavior on the political discussion table. Her proposals in that list are about as likely to become actual policy as you or I are to become president. But she is starting a terrifically important and long overdue conversation about large scale corporate power in the US.

I don't doubt she means them and that she considers them good policy, not just a way to corral another subset of voters (Trump). But that's beside the point as far as I'm concerned.

Just listened to a podcast conversation between Paul Krugman and Ezra Klein that included discussions of a basic income for everyone. They agreed, as would I, that it's political folly right now. But it led to a discussion of some sort of basic child support proposals--food, housing, education. Now that's a fruitful turn.
