In fact, student-loan debt has crowded out other kinds of debt, notably, mortgage debt. They can’t get a mortgage, which means they can’t build equity, which means they can’t take part in the greatest savings program known to mankind.

Maybe that is a good thing in our high priced coastal markets where socialism seems to be pushed much more? But sunbelt is booming people figuring out where the real opportunities to build equity are these days. This even though the coastal elites keep preaching all the opportunities are in NYC and LA and middle America is doomed... Epic rant by Bill Maher on this topic last week..
