IE4 or Navigator this is the question

I'm running 3 computers (Dell266/GTW200Pro/GTW200Pro)all with 128EDO/NT/95Win. Both GTW's run BMI receivers (400 symbols ea.) with STB multi-monitor Video Cards pulling 8-14 workspaces during trading hours.

All 3 computers believe it or not run near full capacity with our mission in life to squeak very bit of performance possible. The favorite (default brower) last year was the IE3. Worked well with the systems & was clearly superior to the competiton. We were happy till the upgrade fever once again came upon us. Upgraded both browers 4 weeks ago.

IE4 looks "cool". One can clearly see the attraction. Button task bar & new interface which we immediately disable due to the decline in resources. Also noticed the printing clock speed reduced nearly 40%. Several other small glitches & the undeletable options we once had were gone along with the force-feed advertising (links, etc.) was the pits but what a hell of a price.

Communicator takes longer to figure out & the manuel was pulled of the shelf a few times before we got it right. The more we used it the more we liked it. Performance was a real plus. Personal tool bar is very cool. Configuring to our satisfaction took nearly twice as long as the IE4 but the result was a faster, easier to use brower.

Today was spent formatting 4 desktops & 3 laptops all with the Communicator. Also noticed if IE isn't present on the hard drive during installation of a new Microsoft product the setup program will try & re-install it whether you like it or not. We fought the IE install off about 30 times today. I'm a Microsoft fan 100% but I don't recall having a chose here.

Verdict: 6 Communicator----------0 IE4
