Ron, I agree with you that y2k concerns will drive the market down over the next two years. We may even have a major panic in late 1999. Not because of real y2k bugs, but because of unfounded public fears. Then we will see a HUGE market rally in 2000 when people wake up and see the world still functions with maybe a few minor glitches.

I will be short and/or in cash in 1999, but will go 100% long in late 1999 as every one else panics. It will be the buying opportunity of the century! But until then shorting is the way to go. As a software professional I know that there is little real substance to y2k, but as a student of the market I know that it will be vastly blown out of proportion as the time approaches. Especially with an overpriced market just looking for a reason to correct.
