Because Mueller and the 13 angry Demorats could LIBEL the President to death in the report without filing any charges of an actual crime. You could write stuff like, "We found no evidence that Trump did not collude directly with Russian intelligence." See how that works. They could fill 500 pages insinuating stuff that didn't happen.

Information about anybody mentioned in the report should be confidential
until they are indicted.

This is true of all grand juries.

Everyone they talked to would have everything they said online. I agree with the understanding that you don't release anything related to people who are not charged with a crime.

If you applied for a security clearance, would you want all communications between the FBI and all of your neighbors and friends and family posted online?

That's the way I weigh it. I understand your point though to keep some from spinning the unknown to their advantage...
