M. Murray, Beto O’Rourke Makes Trump Look Like A Foolish Child After Attacking His Hands I really think that Trump's big draw to his most avid followers is that he appears as simple as they are. Trump, to me, doesn't come across as a very educated person. I think that is what they like about him. He is truly one of them. It is the beer with Bush phenomenon over a sighing Gore. And a good part of that support will be hard to peel away which is why his poll numbers never seem to get below where they are right now. I am sure Beto O'Rourke's response has Trump followers thinking of him as a real intellectual that they can't bond with. So his response may look good to us but just bond Trump's followers closer to him.
