As for Merced, I'm sure Microsoft has a real interest in seeing this succeed. But Intel is COMMITTED to MAKE IT SUCCEED - with or WITHOUT Microsoft. To that end, a SOLARIS/SUN arrangement is very advantageous to Intel and SUn but not Microsoft. As for a Merced version of Windows NT, Intel is committed to that OS as well - in more ways than most people realize. Paul
