Kirk, Your reasoning about the liquity and volitility of AMAT sounds reasonable. Utek is a one year story. A plus to Intel is that a lot of people buy it without knowing much about the industry. So a little knowledge can put you in front of many people.

Because of Bob's "between the lines commentary" a week ago, I have a bunch of AMAT which I got under $27 on that Monday. It now has a paper gain of over 10% for this week. I have a tough decision of whether to treat it as a trading stock and to take profits before earnings or to hold it.
