Intel did not intend to dump Rambus, but recently the problems
with Rambus technology are forcing Intel to start the bail out.
It will not be done suddenly or with a parade, but rather slowly, unconspicuously and smoothly.
The press release on Smart Modular and HP testers is not reassurance for Direct Rambus. HP testers can test other high freq. technologies like SDRAM, DDR, SLDRAM, etc.
