Sun Tzu, I want someone who turns the country around and puts in judges whom I agree with. I want someone who fights against racism. I want someone who reduces military budge and wars of choice and generally takes a win-win approach to international affairs. Someone who pulls us out of ME. Someone who will dedicate the US to improving the environment (and not just doing less bad). Such a person has zero chance of appealing to Trump supporters. And those who can win over even a few percent of Trump's base will not have my vote. Nothing comes free. You have to pay the price for things that you want. And wanting to please the RW will cost you my vote and many others'. I want what you want in your first paragraph. The RW(with the help of FOX news and talk radio) has brain washed many of their supporters into voting against their own interests and the best interests of the country. I think where we disagree is can there be a message out there that does what you say in the first paragraph and peel off, at least some of those that are voting against their own economic(and social) interests. IMO, the message doesn't need to be changed. How it is delivered may make a difference. Might be impossible as long as FOX news is around. Doesn't mean that it shouldn't be tried. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this.
