It does look that Boeing rode the 737 airframe horse for as long as it could get.

Then wanted to go an extra mile and did not work.

Probably the 737 will be stopped and new small plane be developed.

Here enters Embraer:

Beyond that, some analysts think the combination of talents at the two companies could change Boeing’s thinking about the airplane that comes after the NMA, the replacement for the 737 MAX.

It’s possible that Embraer, joined with Boeing, will move up a size in its airplane ambitions from the E-jets — seating just four abreast — and play a role in designing and building that next-generation Boeing single-aisle, six-abreast 737 replacement.

Boeing’s Embraer deal is a key strategic play for the future

TJ still using pole-climber term

heck, in this light, any pole-climber living in deep africa who gave whatever advice to anyone in iran

this is what the kibitzers that be "history doesn't matter / oliveman / pole climber" sorts do not and cannot understand

because such pole-climber favourites intuitively know that what they understand is just the surface layer of CNN-esque sloganeering, bearing little resemblance to not only facts on the streets but truth at the core

time shall tell, the pole climber in the jungle
