We're all bigots, though, really- unless we have no passionately held beliefs. You're not particularly "tolerant" of people who deny climate change...

And that's ok. Some beliefs suck. Some people suck. And I don't think you have to be so open minded with those suckers that your brains fall out. When I meet a scientologist or a republican who supports this slimey president, I'm going to think, "Wow- you're a kool aid drinking cult member."

When you look at a black person, who don't know from the color of their skin what their beliefs are. When you look at a gay person, ditto. But when you meet a supporter of Scrotus, you know- and you can hate that shit they believe, because that's some disturbing and dangerous shit. And you'll be in good company, because lots of the rest of the world feels that way too. Not that numbers prove anything necessarily- but when you're the only one who thinks something, or when you're on the low number side, sometimes it's good to re-examine.

That is a false analogy.

To hate people for no reason is what bigots do; but to hate people for conscious actions that hurt people is a different kettle of fish.

Can't you see, hating one because of their race, and hating someone because of their behavior e.g. being a Nazi, is totally different. One is bigotry and the other is actually ethical behavior.

Do you think people who hated the Nazi's were bigots. Because that is what you have effectively said.

" I have studied the two parties intensely for over 50 years and have watched how the horrible Republicans"

There are others who say, " I have studied the races, religions, sexes intensely for over 50 years and have watched how the horrible Blacks, Jews, Gays..." We call those people bigots.
