It is that simple. 19th and 20th century science caused Christians to go from a literal interpretation of the bibal to an allegorical one--too much wrong with it. And would a document inspired by a god be so wrong?

When one reads the bible it is very simplistic. But even more important if you substitute tribal chief for god it makes perfect sense all the way through.

The only thing those people knew of authority was their tribal chiefs and so they created a god who wanted the same stupid things.

A true god would not care about things like jealousy or being prayed to, or revenge, etc. But a 13th century tribal chief would.

<<And just as science debunked the bible, so science debunks right wing ideology.>

Oh if only it were that simple ... there are parts of the Bible that have been shown to be historical. Jawbones of asses ... not so much.
