My scan is set up to catch charts with an ADX of 45 or higher and a PPO having dug deep under zero. I like to start watching after the adx has reached 45. I want the adx to get to 50 to 65, then turn south. Nothing is guaranteed. Some get more bad news or are diluting hard and they just can't bounce, but for many, the spread indicates a nice bounce or an actual bottom.
