"You keep claiming you can stop change"

It's way too late for that. Now it's about getting off of carbon in time to keep the change to below 2 degrees.

Sdgla, there's a certain park here that used to have some beautiful ponds with fountains.

During the "water crisis," the city shut off the fountains and let the ponds dry up to conserve water.

Now that the "water crisis" is over, they won't bother to turn the water back on. They claim that the ponds have fallen into a state of disrepair during the shutdown.

Well geez, why not repair them? God knows you should be swimming in property tax revenue. There can't be that many residents who are underpaying thanks to Prop 13 (i.e. the liberal's favorite talking point).

Just goes to show you that these "crises" are exploited by the state and local governments. And we continue to take this crap because, you know, we're Silicon Valley.
