Belinda, sounds like a conflict in your second PP card. Assuming you have Win95, go into the Device Manager (Start/Control Panel/System/Device Manager) and click on 'Computer' on top. Then press the 'Print' button on the bottom to get a nice sorted list of all used resources. Compare that to the resources selected by the jumpers on the second PP card, and adjust as necessary.

If no conflict, check that your BIOS doesn't show that base address is already in use. Win95 should have picked it up, but you never know.

If still no resolution, the second card might be defective. Take it back and try a new one.

None of this addresses the problem with the PP passthru on LPT1. Perhaps someone who has had problems in that area could chip in here.
