The current limitation in using composite components in aircraft fuselage is resin begins to weaken at temperatures as low as 150 F.

This isn't a problem for wings, tail assemblies and nose cowlings, or non-structural assemblies inside the aircraft like bathrooms.

But other structural areas of the aircraft fuselage have heat or potential sources of ignition where more heat resistant metal is safer.

As a result it's not surprising that Boeing has specialized in making composite aircraft wings, but uses outside contractors like Spirit AeroSystems for fuselage modules.
