The most import history for China is not 3 millennia ago as you think wrt Iran but the more recent history of the last two centuries.. Remarkable to me as the hegemon shift continues folks accept the blatant imperialism of the US.. with its military bases around the world..Folks get comfy with status quo.. like religious conversions by the sword.. new status quo is reality and Converts are just as rabid as armed proselytizers after a generation..
