pat, << suprise >> c6x and sspif

O.K., What does TI's c6x have to do with SSPIF? According to URL
c6x was production ready Oct 97. The c67x has my attention. It is
scheduled for 2nd half of 98 with .18u technology. To the best of my
knowledge, only the new Kilby research center is working 0.18u
technology. I was told in Dec. that DMOS6, the to be production of
0.18u & probably 12" wafer fab, still had no equipment and was run
by a skeleton crew.
To meet a 2nd half c67x schedule would mean limited production
would need to come from the research center.
Tomorrow's TI report should be interesting. Hope I'm not waiting
too long to load up. :-)
Back to SSPIF. Again, how does TI play?
