I don't think we disagree vastly on your post.


That is the line, and anything short of it may be morally unacceptable, but not legally unacceptable.
Where we disagree is that it's appropriate for public servants to be judged unfavorably by the legal standard while everything less stringent and explicit than that is OK. My position is that public servants, especially the President, should be held accountable to non-legal norms, as is traditional pre-Trump. They may have deviated but, when they did, it was a scandal, not business as usual.
