Mr. Birk:

As at November 30, 1997, our latest quarter, we had US$7.7 million in cash. With our cuts, we are reducing our burn-rate by more than 75%, which should allow us to get through 1998. Barrick Gold, formerly American Barrick, remains our largest single shareholder, with about 13.2% of our outstanding shares. (Noranda remains second, with about 8.8%, followed by insiders, who hold about 8.2%.)
