Whoever runs against him may have a very tough climb. 70% find the economy to be in "good shape", which is the best economic rating given a president since 2001. 83% find they in as good or better shape than they were when he took office. 70% say they trust free markets more than government. These are results from a CNN/SSRS poll taken in mid-march with sampling error of +/-3.8 points. It is really difficult to find anything negative about Trump in this poll which would suggest we could see the kind of polling difficulties we saw four years ago, when people supported Trump but just didn't want to discuss it.
