I agree that Citicorp usually go for the retail clients but they pride themselves on being able to offer a multitude of different services (cash management, corporate finance, custody etc) for corporates. Last year they did a US$100m securitisation of credit card receivables for Bank International Indonesia.

They are also indeed winning market share in the desposit market but at the end of the day these depositors need to be paid interest. As there is no one to lend to CCI may find these depositors turn into a burden on their net interest margin.
