Mel221, the only way to reduce our reliance on carbon-based fuels is technology. Not conservation.

But liberals are against some very good non-carbon technologies that we currently have, namely nuclear.

Instead, they'd rather focus on solar and wind, which aren't all that potent sources of energy.
