"Why wait 'til then?" We have about 260 million vehicles to replace. That will take a while. If we banned all liquid fossil fuels in 10 years, the Greatest Depression would begin in about 10 years and one day. If we're gonna replace a tenth of our vehicle fleet each year, we need to build 52 gigafactories. "We only have 12 years left before we're all doomed!" Doomed to live in a world warmer by more than 1.5 degrees C. I believe we already were the day the Paris Accords were signed.
