Seems a small investor will be taking a position in SFSK soon!!!

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 14, 1998--The Pacific Exchange (PCX) and Morgan Stanley announced today the completion of their scheduled semiannual rebalancing of the Morgan Stanley Emerging Growth Index(SM)(symbol:EGI).

The changes will be effective prior to the opening of trading on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998.

EGI is a broad-based, capitalization-weighted index of 50 companies from seven industry sectors. Options on the index are traded on the Pacific Exchange.

EGI is the first and only tradeable emerging growth index, serving as both an effective risk management vehicle and an accurate performance benchmark. The index had a 1997 price return of 6.24 percent.

''In preparation for our semiannual rebalancing, we rescreened the entire U.S. equity market universe, searching for companies that meet our quantitative criteria and that accurately depict the ongoing theme of the emerging growth segment of the market,'' said Scott W. Reed, U.S. Strategist, Morgan Stanley. ''Due to the inherent volatility of this sector and its components, there was above-average turnover in the index, as several of the former constituents failed to meet our primary selection criteria and up-and-comers rose to take their place. We feel confident that our replacement picks are exciting companies with unusually promising growth prospects and the ability to stand out within the emerging growth market.''

Issues deleted from the index are Atmel Corp. (Nasdaq:ATML - news; Symbol:ATML), Cabletron Systems, Inc. (CS), Learning Tree [Nasdaq:LTRE - news] International, Inc. (LTRE), Mentor Corp. (Nasdaq:MNTR - news; MNTR), Micron Electronics, Inc. (MUEI), Novellus Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:NVLS - news; NVLS), and Titanium Metals Corp. (Nasdaq:TIMT - news; TIMT).

Issues added to the index are Gartner Group, Inc. (GART), Advanced Fibre Communications [Nasdaq:AFCI - news], Inc. (AFCI), Citrix Systems, Inc. (CTXS), Microchip Technology, Inc. (MCHP), Safeskin Corp. (Nasdaq:SFSK - news; SFSK),
