NEW YORK, Jan 20 (Reuters) - First Albany Corp said analyst Mike Smolinski upgraded Noble Drilling Corp to buy from neutral. -- noted stock's decline to 21-9/16 on January 12 from 38-3/16 on November 5. -- said in report, "We believe the decline has ended, that underlying business fundamentals are much better than the stock price implies..." -- said believes that "positive momentum" was now starting to build, which should keep the stock moving higher. -- shares were up 1-13/16 to 29-9/16.
