I've followed Armstrong for a number of years. His cycle stuff is not entirely new as he himself has stated in the past. He has apparently managed to marry cycles to computer tech to make some pretty accurate predictions.

The idea of the world financial center moving from place to place can be researched by reading Braudel's 3 volume work "Civilization and Capitalism 15th-18th century"

Yes.Trump got elected campaigning against out-sourcing, untrammeled immigration and foreign trade deficits.

Economics is cyclical because it has linear inputs but has non-linear outputs and is never in equilibrium.
