The MPEG-4 stuff sounds great. I'm personally going to start learning more about it from a developer's standpoint.

BTW, here's a nice new feature of yahoo... large one day intraday graphs with volume...

TOKYO, JAPAN, 1998 JAN 20 (NB). The DVD Video Group, a group established to promote the DVD Video format, says sales of DVD Video players are expected to have passed 500,000 by March this year, the one year anniversary of the system's American launch.

The group, which is funded by companies that produce DVD players or software, also said sales are expected to pass the one million mark by the end of 1998. It also forecast that the number of software titles available at the end of this year will be 1,500. In October, the group said sales had reached 180,000 units and, in December, 350,000 units.

The half million figure is roughly in line with analyst expectations. In November, William Zinsmeister, senior analyst of IDC's consumer devices research program, told Newsbytes the number of players shipped by the end of 1997 would be around 400,000 units.
