When I talked with TIMT today I did not think to ask about this qtr because they are usually tight lipped about it. But you may wish to try. I would appreciate anything you can get. (303) 296-5600.

I was told BA cancellations not affecting TIMT. They downplay the effect saying they never believed BA would ramp up to their publicized schedules (550 planes per WSJ 1-16-98). Saying that 480 planes a year is a good increase. Could not get an answer to the question 'How many planes required to hit $3.50 EPS in 1998?'. I think a higher number than 500? Worth noting that if BA volume drops, TIMT gets higher % of share per contract.

I am not as confident of 1998 as IR is. Hopefully because I have less info. But if you read the BA thread, lots of talk of used asian airplanes hitting the used plane market. No one knows the asia affect on BA, me nor IR.

I was told Airframe is 26% of business (BA related -- thru a few supply links.) Annual report last year had Airframes at 20% and engines at 40%, so BA business has obviouly increased quite a bit.

If someone gets a diff interpretation after chatting with the company, let us know.

MCsweet, I know what you mean about trying to think long term. At least TIMT is now well off its lows for the day. They report tomorrow, don't they? We need 79 cents. Good luck, Dana
